Participate ACS 2024
The Amsterdam City Swim (ACS) 2024 is an inspiring event where participants swim through the Amsterdam canals to raise funds and awareness for the muscular disease ALS. This event takes place on Sunday, September 8, and offers various ways to participate, both in the water and on the quay.
Below is a summary of the participation options, with explanations under the graphic overview:
Participating in the Water
You can choose from three different options:
- Classic Swim: A 2.1-kilometer route, open to participants from 15 to 99 years old.
- Short Swim: A shorter route of 700 meters, also for participants from 15 to 99 years old.
- Junior Swim: Specifically for younger swimmers aged 10 to 14, with a distance of 700 meters and including a free supervisor aged 18 or older.
We distinguish between private and corporate participation:
1. Private Participation in the Amsterdam City Swim 2024
Open to individuals, friends, families, or other groups. You can register individually or form a team to swim together and raise donations. Early registration is rewarded: the sooner you register, the more advantageous the rates.

2. Corporate Participation in the Amsterdam City Swim 2024
Intended for companies and organizations that want to participate in the Amsterdam City Swim together with colleagues or business relations. Options include:
▸ Participate with a Business Team
If you are a (small to medium-sized) business wanting to participate, register as a Business Team. A Business Team Ticket costs €275,- (excl. VAT). You can create a company team and determine the number of tickets yourself. You will receive an invoice from us that is tax-deductible.

Participating from the Quay

▸ Volunteers Amsterdam City Swim 2024: Make a difference and sign up as a volunteer at the Amsterdam City Swim. Without your help, organizing such a beautiful event wouldn't be possible. We have many fun roles available in various departments, with something for everyone! Whether you want to fulfill an active role or prefer a less active role, everyone is welcome and greatly needed.
The registration for volunteers opens from the end of March.
▸ Visitor and Spectators Amsterdam City Swim 2024: Of course, you can also be present as a visitor during ACS2024. To cheer on your friends and family and, of course, to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy. An entrance ticket gives access to the ACS Festival site. Visitor tickets will go on sale later. Participating as a Patient
The Amsterdam City Swim aims to raise as much money as possible for the ALS Foundation. But also for a day on which we can create new memories together. That's why we make this day extra special for ALS patients and their loved ones. ALS patients have the opportunity to visit the event and possibly enter the water, with or without aids.
The Amsterdam City Swim 2024 promises to be a unique experience that brings together community, sportsmanship, and a good cause. Whether you swim, volunteer, or come as a spectator, your contribution makes a difference in the fight against ALS.
